Grace Community Center - Third Saturday Event!

Every third Saturday the Grace Community Center in North Fort Myers has an amazing resource that they offer to many of those in need in our area. From 9am to noon you can find a variety of ministries that meet specific needs. There is a food bank, a place to file for assistance, GED classes, medical screening, get a ...haircut, get a voucher for clothing, info on HIV, Celebrate Recovery, Kairos, housing, etc. There were plenty of people to assist and pray. It was great to hang out and see what God's kids can do for God's kids. If you need assistance or have the heart to give, GCC is the place. Grace Community Center Golf Tournament

The Grace Community Center held their 2nd annual Golf Tournament
to benefit the center at the Majestic Golf Club in Lehigh Acres today.
They had a terrific turnout with about 25 teams and a ton of volunteers
to make sure the day ran smoothly.

All of the proceeds will go towards the future projects laid out for
the center. So far the center has managed to open the Thrift Store,
Food Distribution Pantry, GED Classes, Sports Ministry and the
popular contemporary church service on Sunday mornings.

This was a wonderful event to work knowing that all of the
funds and hardwork will benefit our community and those
that are having a rough time. Job well done!

Greg and Danielle's Wedding!!

Greg and Danielle tied the knot at Grace Church this past

Saturday. The church was packed with family and friends

that have been cheering on their relationship for the past

several years.

The ceremony was traditional with a few sentimental

touches; which included a blessing of their new blended

family and the washing of each others hands.

The wedding was followed by a reception at the newly

opened Grace Community Center. What a better way

to break in the Center, than with a wedding. Jesus himself

would be proud...(remember His first miracle was at

a wedding).

The newlyweds left the reception for Fort Lauderdale,

then on to a dreamy cruise vacation. Have a blast

Grace Community Center Kick-off!

Today was the day that many have been waiting for. It was

the kick-off of the 1st Church Service at the Grace Community

Center in North Fort Myers.

After lots of prayer, sweat and tears, what was just a dream

has turned into a reality. The Grace Community Center is

an Oasis for the surrounding neighborhoods. In the next

coming months not only will there be church on 1 day; but

service to the community the other 6 days.

This reaching into the nearby area will be done through

having a sports ministry, recovery ministry, thrift store,

coffee shop, GED classes and much much more.

This safe haven is definately needed in this corner of

North Fort Myers. With the down turn of the economy

and the loss of hope for thousands. The center wants

to bring hope to hopeless and purpose to those without

purpose.

Grace Community Center Gets a Helping Hand!

Today was the big landscaping day for the new Grace Community Center.
Nearly a hundred volunteers showed up throughout the day to help
Horseman's Landscaping Company put in hundreds of plants,
shrubs and trees. Volunteers were there early this morning and still
putting the final touches on this afternoon. Riverside Bank brought
over their grill and cooked lunch for the heartfelt crew.

During the day today, help ranged from the very young to many in
their elder years. The group of volunteers came from a variety of
economic backgrounds and cultures. Today's event was one of
many community activities planned at the Center. Not only will
there be opportunities to help the doors get open, there will be
countless ways to get involved in the future.

Many of the surrounding residents will be able to utilize the
resources and support through the much needed Community
Center. This event was just a glimpse of great things to come

from the North Fort Myers Grace Community Center.

Raising Funds to Raise the Bar!

The Grace Community Center held its first GCC

Golf Tournament at the Majestic Golf Club this

past Saturday. Buddy is the golfer in the family, so

he jumped on the opportunity to do this photo assignment.

The Grace Community Center; located

in North Fort Myers (the old Winn Dixi) is in

the development stage and has great plans to

"Raise the Bar" in providing care for our community.

The GCC plans to offer a variety of services that

will positively impact the North Fort Myers and

Cape Coral area.

Not only will Grace Church have

a service on Sunday; there will be life changing

opportunities during the week (afterschool programs,

GED classes, Thrift Store, Coffee Shop, etc.). If you
