Natural Light and Eyes so Bright!

I packed up a few items from the RC Media Services studio and visited the
Rader Family. They had a son two weeks ago and wanted a few portraits
taken. Since mom has two more little ones at home, we thought it would be
easier to come to her. A little window light and his eyes shined bright. If
you are a new mom and you would like a portrait before your baby
looses that newborn look, we can visit you in the comfort of your own home!
All we need is a window and leave the rest up to us. If you have questions
call 239.677.6640 or email us at info@rcmediaservice.com

Is it Christmas?

Ms. Hannah rode in on her sleigh to have her 4 month portraits taken at the
RC Media Services Studio. It is so neat to see how much she has changed
in just a couple of months. She's starting to smile and the lights didn't seem
to bother her very much this time. The Christmas Season is filled lots of
excitement and new experiences...fill yours with many memorable moments.

Look What Santa Found!

Ms. Mia stopped by the RC Media Services studio for her 3 Month portrait.
We borrowed Santa's sleigh filled with toys so we could get some pictures
of her in it. She found a nice place to nestle in. We think she was dreaming
of what goodies Santa is going to bring her. What do you think she was
dreaming about?

Student Portraits!

Our photo shoot with Caroline was fun and invigorating. We took the Downtown Fort Myers Tour. We traveled all around the river area looking for unique portrait venues. Caroline was a great sport and worked well with the camera. Mid way
through our session we stopped for a pizza and a soda, then it was back to work. If you are looking to have Senior Portraits done; book your appointment by the end of December and receive a complimentary 11x14 portrait. There are some great venues to choose from in the Fort Myers area. We have everything from the beach, the woods, the farm and even downtown! To set up a consultation session email or call Tonya or Buddy Roberts at RC Media Services at 239.677.6640. Release the Spirit...Capture the Moment!

Family Portraits!

On Sunday we grabbed our gear and headed out to Sanibel Island
with the White Family. We took some wonderful candid shots and
a few for their Christmas Cards. The children got to play in the sand
and waves for a little while. The sunset was your typical beautiful
Southwest Florida horizon. The lighthouse beach is a favorite of
RC Media Services and many of the other photographers in the area.
We have a few sessions left for Christmas pictures, give us a ring or
email and we can put you on the schedule.

Fall Festival Fun!

Saturday we packed up the RC Media Services portable studio and set up at Christa McAuliffe Charter Elementary School in Cape Coral.
They had their annual Fall Festival. We set up
a portrait station as a fund raiser for the school. The students and staff went all out with a Chili Cook off, hayrides, face painting, pie eating, basket auction and much more.
The faculty really got into the spirit of the day. The Principle Dr. Bush even entered the pie eating contest!
The families had a great time and made some awesome fall memories.

The Cutest Siblings!

Two of the cutest siblings had their pictures taken at the
RC Media Services Studio on Thursday. Each of them
have eyes that just melt the soul. We had fun trying to keep them
entertained and focused. We ended up with several really nice
portraits. They will look nice framed for Christmas presents!

2 Month Baby Portraits!

Little Ms. Hannah came back to have her 2 Month Portraits taken. She
looked so cute all nestled into the Fall Leaves. It's exciting to see how
much she has changed in such a short period of time. In the next several
months we'll start to see her smile and hold her head up; then before we
know it she'll be walking. The RC Media team is ready to capture all of
these first year milestones.

Senior Portrait Fun!

RC Media Services met Ms. Emily at the Cape Coral Yacht Club yesterday. It was a perfect day for taking outdoor pictures. We tried a couple of weeks ago and it was so overcast we rescheduled. We took about 90 minutes to cover several great photo spots...dodging a wedding couple, jet skis, boats and people throwing frisbees. Emily was a wonderful model! We enjoyed traveling the beach with her and talking about her plans after graduation. Emily's portraits will be posted to her own gallery around November 21st. See you then!

Wedding Renewal

This Saturday, RC Media Services showed up at Grace Church
in Cape Coral for a renewal of wedding vows celebration.
Michael and Robin Mills were surrounded by friends and family
as they renewed their commitment to one another. The celebration
was filled with special touches to make the day memorable. Two of their children sang a special song and three of their friends shared their praise while they lit a unity candle; followed by their children lighting three candles unifying their family. The Grace Church Sanctuary provides a stunning ceremony as the light cascades through the stain glass windows. We wish Michael and Robin many blessings as they travel this next season together. Bless You!

Give Thanks!

November is gratitude month! Well as least for those of
us at the RC Media Services Studio. Even though the
economy in Southwest Florida is at an all time low, there
are still reasons to keep our spirits high. Some of those
reasons to be grateful are celebrated this time of year.
No matter how bad things get, most of us are grateful
for our friends, family and the special relationships we
have. Even the economy can't take the joy out of watching
a child smile or take their first steps. Ms. Mia stopped by
for her 2 month photo shoot. She is a blessing and definately
worth being grateful for!

Halloween Party Time!

The RC Media Services crew headed out to a new venue this Fall....We were invited to take pictures at the annual "Munro Monster Bash" in Cape Coral. If you brought a can of food to donate then you got to go through the haunted house. On Friday night they started with a childrens party; cotton candy, bounce house and the works! On Saturday the adult ghosts and goblins came out for the festivities....food, lots of people and two bands. It was quite the night.

Senior Portrait Time!

Thursday the RC Media Services crew met Ms. Emily on location for her
Senior Portrait session. We had one of those days that is few and far
between in Cape Coral, Florida...a VERY gloomy day filled with clouds.
A few clouds to diffuse the direct sun is a photographers friend...these
clouds reminded me of the winters that I spent in Detroit, Michigan!
Emily was a great sport, we got a few shots and made a plan to come
back and get some Florida sunset photos in a few more days.

We had two cute cousins visit the RC Media Services Studio on Tuesday.
We love doing portraits of the little girls and guys because they are always
full of surprises. Now Grandma will have some keepsake images just in
time for Christmas!

A Beautiful Wedding

This weekend we traveled to Estero to the Grandezza Countryclub
to photograph a stunning wedding and an even more stunning couple!
Bobbie Sue and Scott tied the knot near sunset with a host of family
and friends there to cheer them on. This wedding was full of elegance,
personal touches and fun, fun, fun....did I mention that EVERYONE
had a blast! You can check out the rest of their pictures after
November 1st on the RC Media Services website and go to the Client
Galleries section or you can click on the link below.

A Christmas Surprise!

We loved having the Rader family come into the RC Media Services
Studio this weekend. One of the reasons is they are still full of fun and
adventure, even with baby number #3. They made the decision
to wait to see if the Baby is going to be a boy or girl and....they
are even keeping the names under wraps. So this Christmas Baby
is going to truly be a Surprise! I can't wait to meet...him? or her?

Radical Recovery Wear!

Well we were able to make a huge photography mistake today
for fun. We didnt' have to worry about chopping off the top
of the models' heads! Strange huh? Not really if you need
pictures for a T-Shirt Website! Shari Lacey of RADICAL RECOVERY
WEAR stopped by the RC Media Services studio with a couple of models
to get some pix of her latest shirts. Just in time for holiday
shopping!!! You'll be able to check out all of the shirts
and order them soon from http://www.radicalrecoverywear.com/

Welcome Ms. Mia!

About 6 weeks ago we took some wonderful Maternity Portraits of Courtney (Mom). She and Daniel brought Ms. Mia into the studio for her 1 Month Portraits today. We absolutely fell in love with her! Her eyes are dreamy and she is cute as a button! Enjoy this image we picked out.
More photos will be posted within the next week to their RC Media Services Gallery. http://www.shutterfly.com/pro/RCMediaServices/Acevedo2007

New Life!

There is nothing more precious than a newborn baby. We were excited to welcome this little one into the world. She's beautiful and full of wonder. We really enjoyed finding creative ways to show just how cute she is! We can't wait to see her next month. If you have a newborn ask us about our "First Year Portrait Special". Children change and grow so quickly in the first year, having a portrait a month done is a great way to keep those memories alive.

Homecoming

Now that school is underway...many of the school related
activities are kicking into gear. One event that has happened
at most High Schools this last week is Homecoming! Saturday
evening was filled with girls in pretty dresses, limos, and
corsage carrying sweethearts. RC Media Services had a call
to meet a few friends at Jaycee park in Cape Coral, before
they made they way to dinner. They all looked lovely and
excited to be celebrating with each other.

QuinceaƱera of Gabrielle!

We celebrated Gabby's 15th birthday this evening at the Cape Coral Yacht Club. She was surrounded by a beautiful court and lots of loving family and friends. Her colors were white, pink and gold.

The evening was filled with blessings, lots of QuinceaƱera tradition, a delicious meal and dancing! The rest of the images will be posted to her gallery by September 15th! See you then! Click here to go to

Baby on the Way

I don't think I've ever had a more exciting time in my life than
when I was pregnant. It's such an amazing time filled with
expectation and wonder. Whenever we get a chance to
photograph an expectant couple it is our honor and pleasure.

Courtney and Daniel have been sweethearts since they were
very young. It's been a joy to have a front row seat at watching
their childhood romance turn into marriage and now the
blossoming of a family of their own.

God is good!

Family Fun!

The times we spend together as a family are precious and few.
Now days it seems like we get so busy and things like game night
and movie night are put to the wayside. We constantly have to
remind ourselves to slow down and enjoy each other's company.
Family Portraits are way to preserve those memories and milestones
along the way. Here is one of my favorite!

Summer Fun!

We weren't going to put up our pool this season....but.....This last week has been EXTREMELY hot in Southwest Florida. The outdoors is brutal without water or shade...since our yard has very little shade, we broke out the big blue pool. Our son's eyes lit up like it was Christmas in July! By 8pm tonight we'll be chillin'.

Since Oakland has been a little baby he has loved the water. It didn't matter if it was a dog dish, toilet, the ocean or a puddle. He has always been the first to jump in...sometimes forgetting his bathing suit. I love his spirit and his smile. We hope that you have found a way to stay cool and have some fun this summer!

A Father's Love

One of my favorite parts about photographing
a wedding is seeing how families interact. I am
always brought to tears when I catch a glimpse
of a Father's Love. So many men are taught
not to show emotion. One of the times that
Father's let it show is when they give their
daughter's away at their wedding. Even at my
wedding my 6ft 2" husky father had tears in
his beautiful blue eyes as he walked me down
the aisle. I will always treasure that moment.

July Wedding!

July 7, 2007 was jammed packed
with newlyweds wanting to tie
the knot on the "luckiest" day in
next one hundred years! We were
priviledged to share our day with
Oscar and Iliana. They had a
traditional ceremony followed
by a lively reception. The couple
was surrounded by friends and
family with many blessings to
share as they began their new
life together. Oscar and Iliana will now share an anniversary date that will go down in history! More pictures of their wedding will be posted soon to
www.shutterfly.com/pro/rcmediaservices/galleries/rivera

We hope you had a very blessed 7/7/07.

Almost Married!

Early in the week we met up with Carol and Keith to take
a few Engagement Photos to be displayed at their end of
July Wedding. We went to one of our favorite spots at the Cape Coral Yacht Club. The Poinciana tree was almost finished blooming, but we were still able to take some fantastic shots.

The grassy area next to the water has a few picnic tables. I hardly ever see anyone using them. They are perfect for taking in the sunset or checking out the sights. There is lots of room
for frisbee or tossing a ball. Fire ants are always a challenge,
so I don't know about putting a blanket down for a traditional
picnic. Gotta love Florida!

Trees!

When you are taking pictures have you ever noticed if
you gravitate towards a certain object? For me, I am drawn
to taking pictures by, in or around trees. I just love trees!
I don't know if it's the texture or the color or the uniqueness.
When I was little I remember sitting up in the huge tree in our
front yard for hours. I would read or just watch the people
and cars go by. It was a great day when my father made a
ladder and a platform way up high into the tree.
Look around and see what photo "ops" you can find! If there
is a tree around, you can bet I'm going to get you to snuggle up
to it! This picture is from Jaycee Park in Cape Coral. What
great trees they have there. Check them out!

Downtown Sunset

A couple of weeks ago I was at the Harborside Convention Center
for an event. I took a few minutes to go check out the Downtown
Sunset. (something I've never done).
Have you ever said to yourself, "I
would love to drive to the beach
and watch the Sunset"? But then think,
I don't have the time. Here's a Plan "B".
Take a drive to downtown Fort Myers riverside.
Guess what? There are plenty of parking
spots and it's a lovely sunset. This is also
a beautiful place to have a portrait taken.

Happy Father's Day!

What do you get a photographer for Father's Day? Well, I looked through some pictures of Buddy and our son from the past couple of weeks. I found several pictures that I took during a play day. The black and white photos look really great...and masculine too!

I made a wallet size to keep with him and an 8 x 10 for his dresser. This gift and some Chinese food; success!

Funny Faces!

While the rest of the Brown Family was getting ready for their
family portrait, their eldest daughter and I were able
to take a few extra shots of her posing on a pile of
firewood outside of the house. She was a natural...and very beautiful too!

If you like this example of "Illustrative Photography" in the form

of a composite, email us at info@rcmediaservice.com for your own

composite. Talk to you soon!

Farm Family

Today we left our middle class suburbia and traveled a mere
15 miles to the "Brown Family Farm". It felt like we were a
million miles away from our paved streets and a Walgreens on
every corner. Despite a hazy day and the threat of rain,we were
able to get some great family shots. If you haven't
visited the slower paced side of life, take a trip out East....Oh yeah,
pack a lunch, cause you're not going to find a McDonald's close by!

Cape Coral Photo Hot Spot!

I thought I'd share our latest photography hotspot.
It's here in Cape Coral and looks like a scene from
up North. Can you guess where?Well, this little treasure is
at the Cape Coral Yacht Club!
Take a drive down to the South end of the Cape and
See if you can find it. Don't forget your camera; or
you can call us at 239.677.6640 and we'll meet you
there and put together the perfect photo package for you.
